Associates

Our “Associates” are key to the future of Thare Machi Education. They are a group of people who are integral to the project`s success.

They come from all sorts of different backgrounds, have widely differing skills but are connected by the following:

They are:

  • Concerned to see a fairer world
  • People with skills, abilities or experience relevant to achieving the project`s objectives
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Usually self funding
  • Appointed by the Trustees

A Thare Machi Education Global Associate differs from a traditional volunteer in that they are as much part of the project as any paid Staff or Trustee. They are not “bolt on extras” but real stakeholders and crucial to progress.

You can read more about the thinking behind the Associate role by reading the paper “Global impact without global overheads”

At the moment we are actively recruiting new Associates and would like to hear from you if you think you could help, but beware – invitations to apply are only issued after you have done at least one useful thing for the project!
