Equipment for Playing DVDs

We make and provide the DVD discs to community partners around the world, We are not able usually to supply equipment to play the discs on - that is the responsibility of the local partner.

DVD PLAYERS

Our DVD discs  can be played on any DVD player but they need to use 6 of the buttons on the remote control unit supplied with the player to operate the interactive questions.dvd-remote-controllersmall.jpg

The  buttons needed are: UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, ENTER and MENU

On some machines - typically portable DVD players these buttons can be found on the machine itself as well as the remote control.

LAPTOPS AND PC COMPUTERS

The discs can also be played on most Apple computers and a some PC computers.

For PC computers and laptops they need to have some DVD playing software installed. This is not usually supplied with the windows operating system - media player for example does not work. If a laptop or computer has DVD playing software installed then the Disc should load and the controls can then be operated using the cursor arrows on the keyboard. Up for Up, Down for Down. Sometimes the buttons on screen are clickable using the computer's mouse or track pad.

Once the disc has loaded press the arrow pointing to the right on the keyboard to start the lesson.

All of the above equipment can be connected to a data projector and amplifier to cater for larger groups.
