education saves lives - it's simple

M'lop Tapang, Sihanoukville

M'Lop Tapang is a street children project in the coastal town of Sihanoukville. They work not only with the children at the centre but also with the community as a whole, trying to reintegrate the children into their families.

The centre already had a room suitable for DVD equipment, so we sent out a couple of DVD players and a portable player for outreach work

Maggie Eno, M'Lop Tapang's very hands-on director, has sent us glowing reports of the DVD lessons being used with the children.

Our lesson on Safe Water was also used in a training session on food hygiene and preparation for local women about to set up fruit smoothie stalls around the town. M'Lop Tapang contacts are proving to be very useful in terms of help with lesson content and recording into Khmer.
